Beginning on March 1, 2024, residents of the municipality can register to run for a position on Regional Council (i.e. for Mayor or Councillor) or as a Member of the Conseil scolaire acadien provincial (CSAP) in the 2024 Municipal and CSAP Election.
When residents register with the Election Office to become a candidate, their name, the position they’re running for, their official agent (if applicable) and the date of their registration is made public (below) in accordance with By-law C-1100 Respecting Campaign Financing.
Those registered to run become official candidates during the nomination period (Aug. 29 – Sept. 10). Official candidates will be listed on this page on Sept. 11.
There have been recent electoral district boundary changes, which means that the electoral district you reside in may have changed for the 2024 Election.
